What
do you want to know about Coffee MacGregor? He can be very hard
to approach, because he allows himself few friends. I suspect
this is because he's lost so many in his travels, and he's more
than cautious about who he trusts or allows to get close to him.
Trust me, I tried for two years. We got along very well, but
it always felt like there was a side of him he kept to himself,
like there was something he was afraid to tell me. The love was
there, but it couldn't compete with whatever keeps Coffee doing
what he does. I can tell you though, that he is the most thoughtful
and caring man I've ever known. -Gina Prescini |

C.
E. MacGregor is the most hard-headed son of a bitch that ever
didn't get tossed out of the ISC. Once his mind is made
up, you can't tell that boy a damned thing. I will say that he's
the first man you'd call when you need a tough job done. He's
one to have with you in a fight, too. He's pissed me off more
times than I can count, but I trust him. MacGregor's a good soldier,
and the Solar Alliance could do with more like him. -Gen. Perry Donovan |

Major
MacGregor? Oh, Christ! He's got balls 'til Tuesday, mate. Mind
like a steel trap, and pissing adrenaline. He's not one you want
to cross, believe me. Still, he knows how to keep a crew in line
without a harsh word. I've seen him calm a battle worn squad
with whispers, while under heavy fire. One has to see this bloke
in action to believe it. He's amazing. Drink you under the table
too. - Alan Baleston Carter |

Coffee
MacGregor? That bastard left me high and dry in a deal with some
very nasty people. I barely made it out of there alive, which
is more than I can say for several close associates of mine.
If I ever see MacGregor again, he'll be just so must disrupted
plasma. He is the biggest F'ing liar in charted space. He and
his frigging Space Corps think they can lay down their law anytime,
anywhere. Well,
some of us have business to do, with no time for his style of
self appointed universal policing. He and his God damned gestapo
think they can put a net on me? I'll see them in Hell before
I let them take over my territories. - Jenna Blackburn |

Oh,
he's quite a piece of work, that MacGregor... mean as a snake,
but you can tell he fights crying like a baby when he loses a
crewmember. He'll joke like a hooligan, but I've never met a
more serious leader of fighting troopers. Rank means almost nothin'
to him. I've seen him treat buck privates as equals, and talk
back to brass like they were spoiled children. He's just got
a way of always being right that saves his ass every time. I
wouldn't let him marry my daughter, but I'd gladly ship out with
C.E. MacGregor, anytime.- Eric Rhunsteen |

Well,
if you can get him to loosen up for a minute, a woman could easily
fall in love with Coffee, but I swear he's got some kind of bi-polar
disorder. One minute he'll have you laughing your ass off at
some story from his past, then suddenly he'll go to brooding
over "things he can't talk about". It's really weird.
You'd just have to know him to undersatnd. One thing I can tell
you is that he's no bullshitter. If he tells you something is
true, you can bet your life it is. I'm sure it happens, but I
personally have never seen him be wrong about anything. He's
almost scary in that respect, because he''ll order a course straight
into a meteor shower, or some other certain doom, and come through
without a scratch. I don't really understand him, but I trust
him. - Kim

I'd
like to know why a search team has never been sent to find Coffee
MacGregor and his team! This isn't just "some guy",
it's the Smoking Astronaut for Christ's sake! He's done more
for the Solar Alliance than anyone in the ISC, ten times over.
Anyone believing he's dead must not know the man. I'll be damned
if I'm going to accept his MIA status and leave it at that. I
know he's out there. - Roberta Kinoshita |

I
had already resigned myself to death when Major MacGregor's ships
arrived to save us. The outpost on Gavin IV had been under steady
attack, but when his ISC troopships came into scanner range,
the bombardment fell silent. If his battle group hadn't been
patrolling our sector, we'd all be dead or captured now. It's
hard to believe some the stories they tell about the Smoking
Astronaut, but after spending time with him, I have no doubt
to their validity. - Chandra

Very
soon, MacGregor will come to know the wrath of The Syndicate,
and the only smoking he'll be doing will be vapors rising from
his roasted cadaver! Just because he's fighting out-system now,
don't think we've forgotten one millicredit he's cost us. - Titus Coldwater |
